Happy Heart Day

Happy Valentine's Day. Or as one of my friends says "Happy Single's Awareness Day". I don't see any harm in wishing someone a good Valentine's Day. So what if Hallmark, candy companies, and jewelers want you to believe that Valentine's Day is all about pink, red, shiny, sweet things for others. Treat yourself! There is nothing wrong with being single. There is nothing wrong with being in a relationship. There IS something wrong with believing you have to spend a couple hundred bucks on flowers and a new outfit so that you can prove your love on one "fancy" day of the year.

What am I doing for Valentine's Day you ask? I woke up and dressed myself in a nice pink shirt. I went to Starbucks, did my morning dances for the baristas and bought my friend a beverage. I am bringing home fancy cupcakes for Chris. I get to watch LOST tonight and eat popcorn. Need I say more?
