Wireless in Tucson International Airport
So, I'm sitting here with free wireless internet in the Tucson International Airport. Pretty neat. It got me thinking--how come Seattle-Tacoma International Airport doesn't have free wireless? I'm sure it is an infrastructural issue, who knows, maybe the fine folks at SeaTac are installing wireless in the near future (or even right now?), but man, if an airport the size of Tucson has free wireless, it makes me wonder how come not all airports have free wireless yet.
Of course, Tucson has ONE concourse, all of the gates simply have numbers. No trams, no big time fast food restaurants, no Starbucks. But grow your own cactus kits--very many of those. The resort we stayed at is called Ventana Canyon--VERY nice. The tub was about as big as the bathroom I have at home, so....yeah. It is hot and dry here (Tucson). I am looking forward to some moisture in good ol' Seattle.
We gave Tomas (an R2 from UW as well) a ride to the airport, so he is quietly sitting and reading the paper. He looks bored out of his mind and reminds me a lot of the other eastern-european folks I have ever encountered. Tall, european sense of humor and I can't tell if he is having a good time or not. Oh well, he seems nice.
Just the same, we have seen a lot of cacti, small rodents, lizards, birds, skunks etc. Also, in the pool of the resort--there was a random mallard duck swimming in the pool. It didn't seem to mind that there were also people in the pool, nor did the people mind that there was a duck. The last couple of nights there has been stargazing available, so that was pretty neat to see the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter.
Well, the plane is expected soon, so I shall end this post. Tooda-loo!
