My Online Photo Album

I write tonight with a heavy heart as it is the last day of my Christmas-New Year's happiness. Work begins again tomorrow. My Christmas was great, I received all kinds of neato gifts including a digital camera--hence the title of this entry emphasizes a new online photo album that my friend Joe helped me to set-up. I've only placed some pictures up, I hope to have more soon. Yes, I am seeing about the Las Vegas photos (from my trip in September 2005) so no worries.

Back to Christmas--we did not end up going to Yakima as some of you may have heard. Karen called and said to not journey over since the weather was not great in Yakima. Chris and I spent Christmas Day with my extended family and had a nice time. The days between Christmas and New Year's I took off from work (I had to burn some vacation time, why not during the most unproductive time of the year?). It feels kind of like when you are a kid and you get Winter Break--it is SO nice to sleep in and just not care. It is great to go for over a week and not check email. It is nice to read books just to read them and to watch horrible daytime tv such as reruns of Super Password on GameShow Network. I had the opportunity to do things around the house such as actually do more than a light vacuuming, etc. Visiting with my parents and some friends, you are getting the idea...just a nice happy time of the year for me. I feel that I deserve it since if you've been reading my blog since July--I've been working my ass off more and more at work. I needed this time off just to get away from work.

Chris' family came over this past weekend--mainly to attend a friend's wedding (very lovely wedding, the reception was in the Seattle Tennis Club---swanky!!!!) and also to celebrate Christmas (again) with Chris and myself. They stayed very close to Space Needle, so we got to see the fireworks when the New Year officially started.

Now that I think about it some more...my next vacation is coming up in a month. Chris gets some time off at the beginning of February--so we are going to go on a trip, so my heart doesn't feel so heavy now. Happy New Year everyone!
